In the latter part of the nineteenth century, a huge building constructed by the Vijayanagaram Maharaj on the Ghat and the Ghat was constructed, hence this is called Vijayanagaram Ghat. In the latter part of the twentieth century, the building situated in the Ghat was donated to the owner of Kashi's Saint Swamiji Karpattarji, in the same building, Karpathri ji resided. Currently, this building is popularly known as Swaphan Karpattri Ashram. Mokshalakshmi temple and Shiva temple at the Ghats are established from the nineteenth century. Local people bath here because the ghat is pure and clean. The Ghat was rebuilt by the State Government in 1958.
