Varanasi is also called Benares or Kaashi. Varanasi is located in the south-eastern Uttar Pradesh state, on the left bank of river Ganges in north-central India and is one of the seven holy cities of Hindus. Varanasi is a tourist destination. There is a lot to see in Varanasi. There are about 2000 temples in Varanasi. In the evening in Varanasi, the aarti on the banks of the Ganges is quite attractive. In addition to the Hindus, followers of Buddhism also visit Varanasi. The town of Baba Bholenath is known for the Banaras, Ghats and temples, so if you go to Banaras and do not visit the main temples there, your journey will remain incomplete. The most prominent temple in Banaras is 'Kashi Vishwanath Temple', people come from far away to see it.
