Ganga Arti of Varanasi is world famous. Everyday thousands of pilgrims come here from abroad only to observe the grandeur of the grand evening Ganga Aarti in Varanasi, and the Ganga's attitudes are disordered by adoring the beautiful view of Ganga Aarti on the Ganges coast. Seeing the scenic view of the grand Ganga Aarti, every devotee and tourists have the same feeling in mind that how this grand Ganga Arati was started and how the aarti became world famous. This grand Ganga Arti which started on Dashashmandh Ghat of Varanasi was started from 1991. This is an awakening example of Aarti being held in Aarti Haridwar. Kashi has fully embraced the tradition of Haridwar. First of all, this aarti started in Haridwar. In view of that aarti, the people of Kashi also started the Aarti on the ghats of Banaras in 1991. Ganga arti does every evening. Water flowing down the river at that time is completely bathed in light. Today, the same aarti became world-famous. Sailors have to be fastened to see every day. On the Dashashmandh Ghat of Varanasi, the Gangotri Seva Samiti is credited with introducing Nitya Ganga Aarti in Varanasi only. Aarti started with a ghat of Varanasi today became world famous. The time passed and the tradition of Ganga Aarti began on some of the Ghatas of Varanasi's 84 Ghats. Today, about a dozen Ghats of Varanasi 84 Ghats have regular Ganga Aarti. Timing of Gange Aarti:
Gange aarti starts around 5 am during summers and in winters it is 6:30 am. Gange aarti takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening after the sunset for around 45 minutes at the Dashashwamedh ghat in the Varanasi. Devotees have started to come to see the Gange aarti at least one hour before. A group of young priests starts aarti in a well organized manner by having a lighting lamp in their hand, start a rhythmic chant of mantras. An announcement at 7.00 pm indicates the beginning of the aarti.
